Habitat: Uncommon and local on moss-covered face of a 30-foot high, partially shaded, northwest-facing, mesic basalt/diabase cliff; on the mid-slope of a 150-foot ridge, above a narrow ravine.
Associated Species: Associated species include Betula papyrifera, Acer spicatum, Huperzia x buttersii.
