Just back from the crest of the west-facing wall of the western of two deep fault-line canyons south of Glen Avon Falls. E1/2 of SW1/4 of NE1/4 Sec. 16

Habitat: Uncommon and local in narrow strip of pine woodland. Partial shade beneath quite patchy canopy of Pinus resinosa and P. strobus. Patchy understory of Abies balsamea, Picea glauca, and Betula papyrifera. Shallow soil over gently sloping diabase bedrock.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Diervilla lonicera, Athyrium angustum, Maianthemum canadense, Aster macrophyllus.
