Habitat: Frequent in rather large bedrock outcrop complex on gradual southeast-facing slope. With Cladina spp. lichens in small pockets of thin soil over the little-fractured anorthosite. Full sun.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Poa compressa, Achillea millefolium, Geranium bicknellii, Potentilla norvegica.
