Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake, Rolling to fairly rugged bedrock terrain along the North Branch Manitou River ten miles north-northeast of Finland. In a ~6-acre basin south of Moose Lake. SE1/4 of NW1/4 Sec. 31

Habitat: Local in poor sedge fen surrounding a small (<2-acre) bog pond. Frequent to abundant, especially near the edge of the pond. Spongy, saturated peat with a carpet of Sphagnum mosses. Trailing over and through the mosses. Full sun.
Associated Species: Associates include Carex limosa, C. lasiocarpa, Dulichium arundinaceum, Rhynchospora alba, R. fusca, Juncus stygius, Xyris montana, Drosera intermedia, Utricularia cornuta, Scheuchzeria palustris, Lycopodiella inundata, Sarracenia purpurea, Menyanthes trifoliata, Vaccinium oxycoccus, Kalmia polifolia, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Myrica gale.
