Habitat: Recently survived upper reaches of flood waters on oxbow of Little Fork River. Film of silt still on leaves. At edge of canopy opened by recent logging.
Associated Species: Growing with Matteuccia struthiopteris, Laportea canadensis, Elymus virginicus, E. canadensis, Cystopteris bulbifera, Rubus pubescens, and Thalictrum dasycarpum.
