Habitat: next to log in low, butnot marshy area. in mixed woods, mostly of red, white, and jack pines, oak, basswood, white birch and aspen
Substrate: On humus, next to log in low, but not marshy area, under aspen & oak; & in upland, rather open area under oak, among grass & hog peanut plants.
