Habitat:
Large, inter-drumlin wetland complex ... rich shrub fen. Deep, saturated, slightly quaky peat, some plants in shallow water. Full sun to partial shade of dense, low-statured shrubs including Alnus incana, Salix petiolaris, S. discolor, S. pyrifolia, S. serissima, Betula glandulifera, Ribes hirtellum, and widely scattered Larix laricina. Additional associates include Muhlenbergia glomerata, Carex lasiocarpa, C. chordorrhiza, Thelypteris palustris, Rubus pubescens, Galium labradoricum, Equisetum fluviatile, Smilacina trifolia, Solidago uliginosa, Campanula aparinoides, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Andromeda glaucophylla, Lonicera villosa.
