Habitat: Jack pine woodland dominated by a mixture of dry sand barren and dry prairie species. Lots of open sand. Area was clearcut and is naturally regenerating with moderately dense jack pine.
Associated Species: Common associates: Vaccinium angustifolium, Arctostaphylos uva-ursi, Andropogon gerardii, and Danthonia spicata.
