Habitat: Black spruce dominated rich peatland with occasional aspen mixed into canopy. Very dry. Several tip ups in forest - recent blowdown. Growing out of dry sphagnum hummock. 25-50 individuals.
Associated Species: Common associates: Vaccinium vitis-idea, Rubus pubescens, Calamagrostis canadensis, and Carex leptalea.
Description: Fruits bright red orange in pairs for most plants
