Habitat: Dry tamarack dominate peatland with occasional rich fen species. All trees small and appear younger. Surrounding areas with thick reed canary grass.
Associated Species: Common associates: Rubus pubescens, Glyceria striata, Carex leptalea, Equisetum fluviatile, Rhamnus alnifolia, Cornus sericea, Carex interior, and Salix candida.
