United States, Alaska, Across the road (SW) from Old Valdez-1 site. In a triangular piece of land, next to the shoreline near the old pier. Off McKinley Street at the site of Old Valdez, AK (~5 miles N of the current Valdez). Old Valdez was completely destroyed in the 1964 earthquake.

Site is devoid of buildings. Coastal salt marsh/swamp with Potentilla and grasses predominating. Sparsely scattered with solitary flowers struggling to rise above the grasses. Constant salt winds.
