United States, Alaska, Due west of Old Valdez-1 site. Off McKinley Street at the site of Old Valdez, AK (~5 miles N of the current Valdez). Old Valdez was completely destroyed in the 1964 earthquake.

Site is devoid of buildings. Coastal salt marsh/swamp with Potentilla and grasses predominating. Sparsely scattered with solitary flowers struggling to rise above the grasses. Constant salt winds.
