Associated Species: Poa, Agropyron repens, Syringa vulgaris, Salix, Acer ginnala, Caragana arborescens, Viburnum lantana, Corylus americana, Physocarpus opulifolius, Pinus resinosa
Description: flowers inconspicuous, pale greenish; 3.5m tall, to 5.5 cm in diameter
Notes: several stems in a tight clump; evidently an old habitation site; no evidence that this species is spontaneous here
