Description: tree, to 9 m in height, DBH 5.2 cm, trunk height to foliage 5.9 m, crown height 3.1 m, crown width 2.42 m; foliage 1.5 kg mature wet mass; outer bark with lenticels; bark dark brown, brown; cambium dark brown, pink; wood light brown, white; exudate absent; DNA preserved in silica, from felled plot. Local name: poparu, lugum kagayajo Local use: Timber for fence construction, for posts and frame in house construction, and for making traps for pigs, cassowaries, and birds; young pink leaves for fishing bait
