Description: tree, to 5 m in height, DBH 7.8 cm, trunk height to foliage 1 m, crown height 4 m, crown width 2.3 m; foliage 1 kg mature wet mass, 0.1091 kg juvenile wet mass; outer bark rough, with lenticels; fissures horizontal, broad; bark black, dark brown, brown, white, grey, green; cambium brown, light brown, orange, yellow, red, white, cream; wood light brown, white, cream; exudate absent; DNA preserved in silica, from felled plot. Local name: tumua maraijo, wakawaka Local use: Timber for fence construction and for posts in house construction; firewood and fuel for firewood; wood for supporting sugar cane
