tree, to 15.55 m in height, DBH 10 cm, trunk height to foliage 6.25 m, crown height 9.3 m, crown width 4.67 m, buttresses up to 0.3 m; foliage 10.4 kg mature wet mass, 0 kg juvenile wet mass; outer bark rough, flaky, with lenticels; fissures broad; bark black, dark brown, brown, light brown, grey; cambium light brown, orange; wood brown, light brown; exudate absent; DNA preserved in silica, wood sample preserved, from felled plot. Local name: gabud Local use: for house timber, also for fencing gardens.
