tree, to 18.8 m in height, DBH 15.4 cm, trunk height to foliage 13.1 m, crown height 5.7 m, crown width 6 m, stilt roots up to 0.23 m; foliage 9.2 kg mature wet mass, 0 kg juvenile wet mass; outer bark rough, with lenticels; fissures broad; bark black, dark brown, brown, light brown, grey; cambium dark brown, brown, light brown; wood dark brown, brown, light brown, yellow; exudate absent; DNA preserved in silica, from felled plot. Local name: yandu Local use: leaves used as poison for killing fish, fruits are edible
