tree, to 13.9 m in height, DBH 10.2 cm, trunk height to foliage 11 m, crown height 2.9 m, crown width 3.42 m; foliage 2.6 kg mature wet mass, 0 kg juvenile wet mass; outer bark rough, with lenticels; fissures vertical, horizontal, broad, narrow; bark black, grey; cambium dark brown; wood light brown, grey; exudate absent; DNA preserved in silica, from felled plot. Local name: tikul Local use: timber for house construction, used for construction of canoes, cambium used for tying roof of houses
