tree, to 16.56 m in height, DBH 19.8 cm, trunk height to foliage 1.77 m, crown height 14.79 m, crown width 7.77 m, buttresses up to 0.4 m; foliage 17 kg mature wet mass, 0.4984 kg juvenile wet mass; outer bark smooth, rough, flaky, with lenticels; fissures broad; bark black, dark brown, brown, light brown, pink, white, grey, green; cambium dark brown, brown, light brown; wood dark brown, brown, light brown, white; exudate absent; DNA preserved in silica, wood sample preserved, from felled plot. Local name: makal gubung Local use: timber for house construction, leaves used for wrapping smoked leaves, used for construction of small huts and tables
