tree, to 7.75 m in height, DBH 6.8 cm, trunk height to foliage 1.2 m, crown height 6.55 m, crown width 2.7 m; foliage 1 kg mature wet mass, 0.1245 kg juvenile wet mass; outer bark smooth, with lenticels; fissures horizontal, broad; bark black, dark brown, white, grey, green; cambium dark brown, brown; wood light brown, white, grey; exudate absent; DNA preserved in silica, from felled plot. Local name: tikul Local use: timber for house construction, used for construction of canoes, cambium used for tying roof of houses
