tree, to 9.85 m in height, DBH 6.6 cm, trunk height to foliage 5 m, crown height 4.85 m, crown width 2.9 m; foliage 1.5 kg mature wet mass, 0.1134 kg juvenile wet mass; outer bark rough, flaky, with lenticels; fissures vertical, broad, narrow; bark black, dark brown, brown, pink, white, grey; cambium dark brown, brown; wood brown, light brown, white, grey; exudate absent; DNA preserved in silica, from felled plot. Local name: makal gubung Local use: timber for house construction, leaves used for wrapping smoked leaves, used for construction of small huts and tables
