Description: tree, to 14.7 m in height, DBH 10.6 cm, trunk height to foliage 5.2 m, crown height 9.5 m, crown width 3.35 m, buttresses up to 0.6 m; foliage 2.2 kg mature wet mass, 0.0716 kg juvenile wet mass; outer bark smooth, with lenticels; fissures horizontal, broad, narrow; bark dark brown, brown, white, grey; cambium dark brown, brown; wood brown, light brown, orange; exudate absent; DNA preserved in silica, from felled plot. Local name: makal gubung Local use: timber for house construction, leaves used for wrapping smoked leaves, used for construction of small huts and tables
