small tree, to 5 m in height, DBH 6.7 cm, trunk height to foliage 2.5 m, crown height 2.5 m, crown width 1.3 m; foliage 0.4 kg mature wet mass, 0.042 kg juvenile wet mass; outer bark rough, with lenticels; fissures horizontal, broad; bark black, dark brown; cambium light brown, yellow, white; exudate absent; DNA preserved in silica, from felled plot. Local name: bocboc Local use: timber for house and fencing construction; animal feed
