small tree, to 6.9 m in height, DBH 5.1 cm, trunk height to foliage 2.2 m, crown height 4.7 m, crown width 2.3 m; foliage 1 kg mature wet mass, 0.019 kg juvenile wet mass; outer bark smooth; fissures vertical, narrow; bark brown, light brown; cambium brown; wood light brown, white; exudate absent; DNA preserved in silica, from felled plot. Local name: karofang Local use: timber for house and fence construction; firewood; fruit is a food source for cassowaries and is used in hunting
