pandanus, to 8.5 m in height, DBH 5 cm, trunk height to foliage 4.8 m, crown height 3.7 m, crown width 3.9 m; foliage 5 kg mature wet mass, 0.068 kg juvenile wet mass; outer bark rough; fissures horizontal, broad; bark brown, light brown; cambium yellow, white; wood light brown, white; exudate absent; DNA preserved in silica, from felled plot. Local name: jigan Local use: split stems used for flooring and fireplaces; leaves used for thatched roofing and weaving mats and string bags
