tree, to 12.07 m in height, DBH 11.4 cm, trunk height to foliage 7.3 m, crown height 4.77 m, crown width 2.4 m; foliage 1 kg mature wet mass; outer bark with lenticels; fissures vertical, narrow; bark white, grey; cambium light brown, pink; wood red, pink; exudate orange; DNA preserved in silica, from felled plot. Local name: mongtop Local use: timber for house construction, posts, fencing and firewood; also used to light fires by friction with strip of bamboo
