to 5.1 m in height, DBH 7 cm, trunk height to foliage 4.1 m, crown height 1 m, crown width 2.5 m; foliage 0.2 kg mature wet mass; outer bark flaky; fissures vertical, narrow; bark white, grey; cambium light brown, orange; wood white; exudate orange; DNA preserved in silica, from felled plot. Local name: mongtop Local use: timber for house construction, posts, fencing and firewood; also used to light fires by friction with strip of bamboo
