tree, to 8.96 m in height, DBH 6.5 cm, trunk height to foliage 0.75 m, crown height 8.21 m, crown width 1.64 m; foliage 0.7 kg mature wet mass, 0.5 kg juvenile wet mass; DNA preserved in silica, from felled plot. Local name: mongtop Local use: timber for house construction, posts, fencing and firewood; also used to light fires by friction with strip of bamboo
