to 5.81 m in height, DBH 6 cm, trunk height to foliage 1.47 m, crown height 4.34 m, crown width 5.3 m; foliage 1 kg mature wet mass, 0.227 kg juvenile wet mass; outer bark with lenticels; fissures vertical, narrow; bark black; cambium light brown; wood white; exudate absent; DNA preserved in silica, from felled plot. Local name: tongo Local use: timber for house and fencing construction; firewood; leaves used as cigarette paper
