pandanus, to 7.6 m in height, DBH 6.3 cm, trunk height to foliage 3 m, crown height 4.6 m, crown width 6.85 m; foliage 9.5 kg mature wet mass; outer bark smooth; fissures horizontal, broad; bark brown, grey; cambium brown, grey; wood yellow, white; exudate absent, from felled plot. Local name: jigan Local use: split stems used for flooring and fireplaces; leaves used for thatched roofing and weaving mats and string bags
