Habitat: Local on a 30- to 40-foot, north-facing, granitic cliff, on the upper portion of a steep 160-foot slope above a small lake west of Gasket Lake. Occasional in mossy vertical crevices. Shaded beneath the surrounding forest canopy (Betula cordifolia, B. papyrifera, Picea mariana).
Associated Species: Associates include Huperzia xbartleyi, Polypodium virginianum, Dryopteris fragrans.
