Habitat: Locally common on the margin of a beaver pond along a small drainage through a small wetland complex. Moist to wet mucky substrate, in a zone that was flooded earlier in the season. Full sun. Dense and rather robust clumps.
Associated Species: Associates include Eleocharis palustris, Carex retrorsa, C. canescens, Juncus brevicaudatus, Glyceria grandis, Torreyochloa pallida, Galium tinctorium, Sparganium emersum, Hypericum majus, Triadenum fraseri.
