Habitat: Uncommon and local on the shore of a small unnamed lake north of the eastern end of Stump Lake. In narrow zone of shore fen dominated by Myrica gale. Partial shade of Picea mariana (in an adjacent strip of black spruce swamp). On the southern shore of the lake, just east of low shoreline cliffs. Moist peat. Sphagnum hummocks.
Associated Species: Associates include Smilacina trifolia, Iris versicolor, Triadenum fraseri, Carex lacustris, C. canescens, Calamagrostis canadensis, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Gaultheria hispidula, Vaccinium myrtilloides, Alnus incana.
