Habitat: Local atop a steep-sided, 120-foot bedrock knob overlooking the lake. Occasional along crevices and in thin soil over the dry diabase bedrock. Sunny southwest aspect; gentle slope.
Associated Species: Associates include Danthonia spicata, Agrostis scabra, Carex foenea, Woodsia ilvensis, Sibbaldiopsis tridentata, Corydalis sempervirens, Polygonum cilinode.
