Habitat:
Infrequent in old growth upland cedar forest dominated by Thuja occidentalis, with scattered Betula cordifolia, Acer rubrum, and Abies balsamea, Patchy understory dominated by Acer spicatum. Level to gently-sloping settings. Mesic silt-loam soil; thick litter.
