Habitat:
Occasional clumps on the upper portion of the extremely steep 220-foot, east-facing slope above Gasket Lake. In a narrow zone of scrub (semi-forested) talus, between granitic outcrops above and extensive open talus below. Partial shade (Betula papyrifera, Corylus cornuta, Acer spicatum, Prunus pensylvanica, Amelanchier interior).
Associated Species:
Associates include Carex backii, Oryzopsis pungens, Danthonia spicata, Dichanthelium acuminatum, Poa pratensis, Cardamine parviflora, Antennaria parlinii, A. howellii, Asplenium trichomanes, Diervilla lonicera.
