Habitat: Local in a rich sedge fen along a narrow water track through a white cedar swamp; along a small drainage emptying into Cone Bay ~1/2 mile to the east. Infrequent, scattered plants in small shallow pools and nearby saturated peat. Mostly in full sun (to partial shade of stunted Thuja occidentalis).
Associated Species: Associates include Carex lasiocarpa, Eriophorum tenellum, Dulichium arundinaceum, Platanthera huronensis, P. clavellata, Utricularia intermedia, U. minor, Calla palustris, Smilacina trifolia.
