Habitat: Local on 50-foot granitic cliffs, on the extremely steep lower portion of a 200-foot, southeast-facing slope on the shore of Cuckoo Lake. Infrequent to occasional, loose patches in thin soil on lower ledges in an area subtly influenced by dripping groundwater from above. Full sun.
Associated Species: Associates include Agrostis scabra, Calamagrostis canadensis, Dichanthelium acuminatum, Euthamia graminifolia, Achillea millefolium, Epilobium ciliatum, Oenothera villosa, Heuchera richardsonii, Potentilla arguta, Solidago nemoralis, Toxicodendron rydbergii, Diervilla lonicera, Rosa acicularis.
