Habitat: Local on the margins of rich sedge fen along the drainage west of South Cone and Middle Cone Lakes. Occasional along the upland margin, near a small pond. Amongst small boulders in exposed moist organic soil. Full sun to partial shade of Myrica gale.
Associated Species: Associates include Drosera intermedia, Juncus brevicaudatus, Carex michauxiana, C. echinata, C. cryptolepis, Rhynchospora fusca, R. alba, Dulichium arundinaceum, Agrostis scabra, Muhlenbergia uniflora.
