Habitat:
Uncommon and quite local on a bedrock knob atop a 250-foot ridge overlooking the lower reaches of the Swamp River. A dozen or so scattered clumps in shallow soil over sloping diabase bedrock. Rather dry, exposed settings. Full sun.
