Habitat: Uncommon and local on a narrow sandbar (~6 feet wide by 50 feet long) exposed by receding water levels. In moist sand 1-4 inches above the current river level. Full sun most of the day.
Associated Species: Associates include Eragrostis hypnoides, Leersia oryzoides, Veronica catenata, Zosterella dubia, Ranunculus aquatilis, Eleocharis intermedia, Scirpus atrovirens, Sparganium eurycarpum, Alisma sp.
