Habitat: Occasional to frequent along the south shore of Babble Lake. Loose to quite dense patches along the water's edge and on the margins of small near-shore pools and beaver runs in narrow zones of poor fen and poor conifer swamp. Continuous Sphagnum carpets. Saturated peat, which is fairly quaky at water's edge. Mostly in full sun.
Associated Species: Associates include Carex limosa, Rhynchospora alba, Dulichium arundinaceum, Drosera rotundifolia, Pogonia ophioglossoides, Scheuchzeria palustris, Menyanthes trifoliata, Sarracenia purpurea, Myrica gale, Vaccinium oxycoccus, Kalmia polifolia, Andromeda glaucophylla, Chamaedaphne calyculata.
