Habitat:
Local, occasional to frequent atop a 50-foot, southwest-facing, granitic cliff on the steep upper slope of a 280-foot bedrock ridge overlooking Misquah Lake. In thin silty detritus on fairly broad upper cliff ledges, and on steeply-sloping cliff top. Full sun to partial shade of Prunus pensylvanica and Amelanchier interior.
Associated Species:
Associates include Woodsia ilvensis, Selaginella rupestris, Danthonia spicata, Oryzopsis pungens, Potentilla arguta, P. norvegica, Solidago nemoralis, Viola adunca, Heuchera richardsonii, Aquilegia canadensis, Saxifraga virginiensis, Rubus strigosus.
