Habitat: Occasional to common in shallow water along the south shore of Carl Lake. Substrate varies from fine sand to mucky sand. In water up to 4 feet deep; floating leaves are mostly restricted to plants growing in water less than 12 inches deep. Loose to fairly dense patches.
Associated Species: Associates include Eriocaulon aquaticum, Equisetum fluviatile, Najas flexilis, Eleocharis palustris, Lobelia kalmii, Sparganium fluctuans, Chara sp.
