Habitat:
Uncommon and quite local atop an 80- to 150-foot high, west-facing, granitic cliff southwest of Misquah Lake. Dry setting; on extremely steeply sloping bedrock that here consists of a series of narrow, stair-step ledges. Mostly in full sun; some partially shaded by Pinus banksiana and Sorbus decora. Sporadic here amongst Cladina lichens and Polytrichum mosses.
