Habitat: Local in shallow water off a small island near the landing of the portage to Misquah Lake. Loose patch of several hundred plants here in water 4-30 inches deep. Very gradually sloping substrate of quite small angular rocks (rhyolite). Full sun. Leaves floating; inflorescences emergent.
Associated Species: Associates include Potamogeton gramineus, Equisetum fluviatile, Eleocharis palustris, Lobelia dortmanna.
