Locality: United States, Minnesota, Cook, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, Rugged bedrock terrain in the Misquah Hills south of Little Trout Lake, 16 miles north-northwest of Grand Marais. T63N R1W SE1/4 of SE1/4 of SW1/4 Sec. 5

Verbatim Coordinates: 5315126N 688098E; T63N R01W sec5

Habitat: Very local on the northern shore of Slough Lake. Small dense patch covering a 20- x 20-foot area, in rich shore fen ~25 feet from the water's edge. This patch creates an opening in a zone that is otherwise dominated by fairly dense Myrica gale. Wet, quaking, sedge and peat mat. Full sun. Maroon basal sheaths.
