Habitat: Local on low cliffs on the shore of the northeastern of the three Otto Lakes. Dense small patches along several crevices of a north- to northwest-facing, gabbro (troctolite?) cliff that rises up to 35 feet out of the northern shoreline of the lake. Plants occur ~8-10 feet above the water level on a lichen-covered, sparsely-vegetated, exposed and rather dry rock face.
Associated Species: Associates include Dryopteris fragrans, Woodsia ilvensis.
