Habitat: Uncommon to frequent quite locally along a tiny stream crossed by the portage trail between Davis and Kiskadinna lakes, ~300 yards south of the west end of Kiskadinna Lake. Partial shade of Alnus incana, Abies balsamea, and Sorbus decora. Large clumps in mesic to rather wet loamy organic soil. Often amongst boulders, in a zone that floods briefly during heavy runoff events.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Calamagrostis canadensis, Iris versicolor, Lycopus uniflorus, Eupatorium maculatum, Viola cucullata, Athyrium angustum, Ribes triste.
