Habitat:
Very local along a small stream along the portage trail between Davis and Kiskadinna lakes, just downstream from a small (2-acre) pond ~1/4-mile south of the west end of Kiskadinna Lake. Small but dense patch of a few thousand often inter-twined stems in wet muck, in a spot where the stream passes along the base of a steep-sided, 30-foot high bedrock outcrop. Full sun to partial shade of Betula papyrifera and Picea glauca.

Associates include Sagittaria latifolia, Agrostis scabra, Dulichium arundinaceum, Scirpus atrocinctus.
